The new 300 Series DSP controller combines ultra low-noise high-voltage driver
electronics and capacitive-sensing modules with ultra-fast DSP-based servo loop
control. It brings enhanced control flexibility and speed to all nPoints
custom and standard nanopositioning products.
The 300 Series controller uses PID (proportional-integral-differential) control algorithms and an integral capacitive position sensor to achieve ultra-precise closed-loop nanopositioning control with a high degree of application flexibility. The controller offers enhanced response time without altering the accuracy and repeatability of the nanopositioner. Its low-noise capacitive sensing module and 20 bit effective resolution offers sub-nanometer resolution at up to 200 micrometers range of motion.
The built-in USB interface allows for computer control of up to three channels. An RS232 interface option is available.
